Need a job? The Cary Kennedy for Treasurer Campaign is hiring!
RBI Strategies, the political consulting firm managing Kennedy’s campaign, is looking to fill an entry-level finance coordinator position. Basically, the campaign is looking for someone to help raise funds for Kennedy's re-election. Let’s just hope whoever they hire knows Colorado election law better than Kennedy’s campaign advisor Tyler Chaffee, who recently sent out a campaign invitation that landed his boss in hot water.

The invitation listed four lobbyists as co-hosts of a fundraising party. The problem, however, is that it is illegal for lobbyists to give money or solicit money for the campaigns of state office-holders while the legislature is in session. Chaffee removed the lobbyists' names from the invitation, calling the slip up a “misunderstanding.”
But we can’t blame Kennedy for wanting to gear up her campaign after Denver businessman Walker Stapleton, a Republican, recently announced his candidacy for state Treasurer. As Face The State previously reported, Stapleton has already garnered the support of GOP fundraiser extraordinaire Mary Smith, who raised for $700,000 for U.S. Sen. John McCain’s presidential bid.
Stapleton is the only Republican in the race so far, but financier J.J. Ament and Ali Hasan, former House District 56 candidate, have also expressed interest.
