Okay. Now that we have your attention, a quick head's up on two great opportunities to learn more about Center-Right philosophies and movements in Colorado. You may meet some good looking people in the process. Just make sure to invite us to the wedding.
First, from Christine Burtt at the Colorado Republican Business Coalition: "Learn the fundamentals of the philosophy, history, economics and politics of freedom," she writes. The Independence Institute's "Free People, free markets: The principles of liberty" class starts a new five-week session July 12th. See www.freepeoplefreemarkets.org for more information.
Second, if you've got more time, try the Leadership Program of the Rockies, which includes nine full-day sessions, held the second Friday every month for nine months, with some exceptions. The annual February retreat at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs is the place to see and be seen with top politicos, with notable attendees at this year's event including Mike Huckabee.
With class size limited to 65 students and a late August deadline, get your application in now. The program costs $600 but there are scholarships for those who need the assistance.
