U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Mark Udall, D-Eldorado Springs, with a chorus of left-leaning advocacy groups and blogs, made claims this week charging his opponent, Bob Schaffer, had taken donations from disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff during his time in Congress. As an FTS investigation reveals, however, Udall has himself taken donations from Abramoff clients. On at least one occasion, those donations coincided with a shift in Udall's position on a contentious Internet-gambling bill.
