Ex-PTO treasurer headed to Sept. trial

The former treasurer of a parent-teacher organization charged with stealing thousands of dollars from the program's fund is headed to trial in September.

Peggy Pagliaro, the former Scott Elementary PTO treasurer and also a former Greeley-Evans School District 6 employee, appeared in court Tuesday with her attorney, Shannon Lyons. Lyons entered a plea of not guilty on the four counts of felony theft Pagliaro faces.

Pagliaro's two-day trial is set to begin Sept. 8.

Since the allegations that Pagliaro took an estimated $8,000 from the PTO, she has paid back more than $5,000. She does not admit to taking the money, however.
