July 2, 2009Cheers erupted at Colorado's mountain casinos at 12:01 am Thursday as higher limits, new table games and 24-hour gaming became reality following passage of Amendment 50 last year. Voters in Black Hawk, Cripple Creek and Central City quickly thereafter voted to exercise their new constitutional options, bringing a flavor of Las Vegas to the high country.
Casinos ready to cash in?

Colorado casinos are placing their bets that the gambling rule changes going into effect at 12:01 a.m. tomorrow will put an end to their bad fortune.

October 21, 2008Mail-in ballots have been trickling back to County Clerks' offices, and early voting began Monday with record turnout. Face the State gave each of 10 remaining ballot initiatives the opportunity to write a short column explaining why voters should support or oppose each measure.
